ignition upgrading

I have an old Ford 144 and want to upgrade to an electronic ignition and am wondering what options are out there. I would like to keep my stock distributor and just change the points plate. Anybody got any ideas? :roll:

Pertronix Ignitor I

This is about as simple as ignition upgrades get. It replaces the points system with an electric unit. You can use the same distributor cap and there are only two wires that go to the coil (which you should upgrade, they offer a coil).

There are many other routes you can go. There are alot of members with different setups on here so they'll be able to tell you more.
