Installing exhaust manifold studs

I picked up a used exh. manifold for my 250 (old one was cracked), and I'm getting ready to install new studs. I know how to cinch them up using double nuts, but I'm not sure if anything needs to go on the studs. Do they go in dry, or is there some type of hi-temp loctite that I should use?

Tom - you could you some hi-temp anti-sieze if you want, don't know how long it would last though.

You can put them in dry. Green Loctite is supposed to make the bolt vibration proof and red IIRC needs application of heat to releaase.

Strongly reccomend Stainless steel studs with never sieze, and brass nuts.
