I just got my new FSPP header (thanks Mike) and my new dual exhaust system on....I love it but its very very loud!!!

It has a pair of Dynamax super turbos on it....I couldnt imagine how loud it would be with Flowmasters on it....glad I took some of your guy's advice on that

It wasnt that big of a deal to install the V8 sytem on the I6....just a bend at the front did the trick.

Cool...

Or maybe a sound file.
I am trying to get a MiniDV camera so I can create some quicktimes.

Mine with the Dual Series 70 Flowmasters is perfect. Not Loud most of the time. but loud as heck if you go to WOT.

Cool !!!! How loud is loud???? I thought Super Turbos were super quiet?????

BTW Doug, are you still contemplating puttin' your ride on the bottle????

Alex

I might be able to find a pic or two of it....

Sound file.....I can record one, but I need some help converting it to somthing we can all hear.... :?:

Maybe while I'm doing a burnout??

At idle its pretty loud (you can hear the cam quite clearly) but when you get on it....I love it....birds fly off the trees and small children run to there Mothers!!!!

Nitrous is still being planned...but it will arrive!

When I get around to doing my exhaust, I was thing of glass packs. But if you guys are using regular turbo mufflers and think it may be too loud, I might want to reconsider.

LOL

i cant wait untill i can get new pipes and hedders on the mustang. i want it to be LOUD! i was going to go with glasspacks or flowmasters. how much did your turbo mufflers cost?

I'm running true dual clifford headers into glasspacks and then it dumps out right before the rear axle. It sounds great floored and I've had plenty of people mistake it for an 8 cyl. Climbing the hills around my house does get pretty mind rattling with just a contant low rumble and has lead to a couple headaches. I admit to thinking about installing quiter Flows or something to cut down on the low-pitched-half-throttle-humm.

Has anyone tried the new Edelbrock mufflers yet?

stainless steel chamber with ´glass packing, 2" inlet/outlet (larger diameters available). Not a straight-thru design, but close - inlet separates into two curved, louvered stainless pipes which are routed back into the single outlet.

I´m thinking of those for three reasons:

-stainless
-readily available
-ehm... dunno. Maybe they´re loud.

guess I have to put my engine back together first.

Doug,

Were these what you used?

I plan to use these behind a mild 250 with a 'hacked' 4bbl and dual outlet headers. I don't want real loud, so maybe I'll have to add resonators into the mix.

Al,

Yep, them are the same as the ones I used! I'm going to record some sounds  Saturday morning and I'll see if I can get some help posting them on my website so you can hear what they sound like.
