Jacked-up 200

I was toying around with my distributor (just replaced the points with a pertronix conversion) and accidently started the motor with the timing severely retarded. When I was cranking it, there was a loud backfire (like a gunshot). I Advanced the timing and she started, but now she misses (sputters, hesitates, whatever you want to call it) every time I give her even a little gas. This is a pretty much stock 200 on my 65 Mustang. I'm pretty new at this, and I would appreciate any help you guys could offer, even if that means posting a link to the appropriate topic.

8) you may need to add more timing. i had a similar issue with my 66 falcon, and once i added enough timing those issue went away.
