Jets for the Carter YF and other questions...

Where can I buy jets for the Carter YF. I think that I will have to rejet the carb. Does anyone know if Napa carries them?

Can I run the pcv hose directly to the log as long as it is right under the carb? My new baseplate is only .5" and I don't want to drill and tap it.

There is a little hose fitting at the bottom of the carb. Is this a good place to get vaccume for the distributer?

By my calculations, I should have about a 9.5:1 compression ratio using a M0 large log head. Everything else being the same on the car, I should see a good increase in performance over the C6 small log head with the 1101 carb on it. I can't wait to get everything back together this weekend and see how it does.

I just hope I don't have to do much tweeking with the Carter YF that I got. It has a fresh rebuild (thanks AL!!!!).

I will take some pics of everything and put them up on my website. I can tryout my new digital cam now!

well i went out and got an assortment of jet sizes so i will see how it runs. What is a good way to know if the carb is jetted correctly if I have no AF sensor?

I'll post my results so it can be used for anyone else who wants to do this swap.
