Hey Guys,
I am confused about my setup and if it's right...I have a 66 mustang coupe. Inline 200. Autolite 1100.
My confusion is this. When I bought the car several months ago, the carb has the spark control valve plugged with some kind of metal nipple the prev. owner put in..There are no lines whatsoever coming from the distributor. the rubber "vacuum"?? line from the dizzy diaphram is just lying along the fender well.... I am not familiar with distributor identifications, but I think it is a load o matic.. the shaft is the solid, "D" shape, points, condensor, smaller, black cap, going to a stock looking coil.
Now, the car runs fine..it idles a little, I mean just a little, rough, but no other problems.
Is this right?? If this were/is a load o matic, shouldnt the vac line be connected and the spark control valve active???...there is also a metal line coming from the passenger side of the carb, just in front of the spark control valve that is broken in half ( not sure what this is called ), but like I said, car runs fine
I guess im looking for an answer to a problem I may not have.. i just want everything to be hooked up right, and get premium performance from a currently stock setup.
Thanks , Kelly
