Cant believe I cant find this data on the internet.

What is the piston pin compression height of the 170?

What is the rod length of the 170?

I know the 170 is a 3.5" bore and 2.940" stroke so it cant use same piston

Thanks in advance

Mark.

EDIT: Found that 170 uses same rod as the 200. Now I can figure the compression height since i have rest of the figures.

Beck Racing's old Silvolite page says C/H is 1.58", and a flat top piston. That puts the piston about .04 - .05" down the hole at TDC. Works out to almost 8.5/1 C/R, which all sound about right.

You wouldn't happen to be considering taking a whack at the 107.119mph record in in F/GC?

Thanks again for the info.

I am toying with the idea running a shorter stroke 170 crank with long rods and custom pistons in a 200 block bored .040"

I have some nice pics of a built to the edge 365hp naturally aspirated 188 cid Argie inline six in a round body Falcon race car.

Way too many custom parts in the n/a Argie 188 so Im gonna cheat and turbo it.

My plan is to build a fuel injected, turbocharged, intercooled inline six aero nose Fox body Mustang convertible and make it look as factory stock as possible.
