Is there an issue mounting a power steering pump (probably Saginaw) lower, level with the crank and AC pump? It seems like an enclosed, pressurized system that can handle the environment closer to the road. Is there a better pump than a Saginaw with a remote reservoir?

I'm also looking at a electric power steering conversion as well, just to free up space. But that would rule out Hydroboost which I've been thinking about.

Hydroboost is junk I have a pile of them on the workshop scrap heap. On average I replace 2 a month.
When they go out you loose both brakes and steering at the same time. Makes for some real pucker time.
