LPG. Is it really selling my soul?

Considering putting it in my 76 Falcon, 250 engine. But i have heard that it kills pistons and cracks heads enough to make up for money saved in petrol. Not to mention loss of power..

Anyone with any experience? Thanks

Just check out fullboost.com....all the hottest 250 turbo's are running LPG and running easy 10's!

im currently going LPG turbo aswell and not once have i been told of the issues u have so i think addo is right, i think someone pullin yer chain mate

You have been told a big porkie pie mate, but unfortunatelly they forgot to mention the valve seat recession problem. I would definately go the gas route, you'll find you lose a tiny bit of power if it's tuned for economy, but you will make it up with a smoother running car. You may also lose a couple of hunred top end revs, but thats way past your peak power anyway.
As for the valve seat prob. Dont worry too much until the next time the head has to come off, and have steel seats fitted. Cast iron heads unfortunally don't have steel seats, unless it's been rebuilt for gas.
