Manual clutch on 3 speed issues

I've entered this twice and cannot find it after posting, so I am sorry if repeat. I had the pivot bracket on my 1967 mustang 200 3 speed manual and I have replaced it. I think I have it facing the correct direction. I have installed the throwout bearing on the clips and the adjustment rod is in place. I placed the pivot (or clutch release lever) bracket so that the nuts on the rivets are accessed throw the hole in the bell housing that the fork exits the bell housing. I think that is correct as it helps center the throwout bearing. The pivot bracket is positioned into the fork where the spring holes are located as that just seems to be the correct spot and I cannot get the clutch pedal to move correctly. I know that isn't much, but what would help is answers to two questions: 1) which was does the pivot bracket face, so the nuts are accessed through the side of the bellhousing where the fork exits or through the opening where the transmission enters? 2) How and where does the fork rest on the pivot bracket. I have mine in the holes the springs clip into as it fits nowhere else? Thanks for any help. Fushion243!

I never got a reply from anyone, but I learned the answer. If anyone else runs into this issue, here's what you need to know. The pivot bracket's bolts face the opening in bell housing where the fork exits the bell housing.

Thanks for that. All my I6 stuff is for Aussie single rail and T5's, with 160 teeth flywheels with hydraulic clutches, so I wasn't ever gonna be able to help. Glad you got it sorted

Great little trans, that 3.03
