alright i got my flows in today for the mustang and they are 3 inches in/out. Anyone see a problem other than looking funny with these and the pacemaker headers which are 2 inches?
If the place you ordered them from will let you, you can send them in for some 2" ones. Or you can use some exhaust reducers. They shouldn't hurt anything. There's always a way to rig up something
will the gigantic size of the inlet affect flow through the muffler thus reducing sound? Cause if i can at all possible avoid sending them back i would. I ordered the flows for the sound of them and would not want to have a weird sound from large inlet/outlets.
i would buy a collector pipe and collect both header outlets into a 3 inch pipe.. Summit sells one for 28.99 i think.... Its hella nice sound on mine...
I believe Brian had run a single flowmaster and said it sounded terrible I dont think it was 3" and I believe it was a 50 series, if thats what you had meant about the single 3"...

That would defeat the purpose of having a dual out header. I would seriously consider getting the right size mufflers. Increasing and then reducing the size of the pipe may change the dynamics of the mufflers. That may manafest as a different tone or possibly a difference in flow.
Or, who knows, it might not do anything but make you add reducers at each end of the mufflers. The performance/sound may be exactly the same.
