I'm not sure about the cross compatability between 200's and 250's in terms of starter motors; but I do know you can get small, reduction drive starter motors for ford sixes. I actually run one on my 302 Cleveland V8
Edit - It is a Bosch item - I can probably get the part number if you need it.
Look for an FE (390) mini starter. Many have a front plate that is bolted to the starter body and allow clocking the drive to a convenient posistion.

As everyone knows headers and starter are a pain. I was able to get the starter off with out pulling the header by removing the cover over the bendix engagement. It was tight but did work.
Here's a pic of the new chrome mini starter I just got in this week. They are suppose to fit both auto and manual (I still need to verify), and can be indexed (different positions). Sorry, this is the only pic I have at the moment, but I'll take more over the weekend and post them. The price is $249, which is pretty good for a chrome starter. I'll check next week and see if I can come up with one that isn't chromed.
