I know this probably isn't the place to ask, but sometimes it takes them awhile to respond over at allfordmustangs.com and you guys are a good bit quicker.
But due to my 200 kickin' the bucket and not having the money for the 300 swap but having a 87 LX mustang close by, i'm swapping to the 302 until i can get some money to seriously perk up the ole 200 or continue my plans for the 300.
But question was, the 200 motor mounts (not the actual mount, but the part that bolts to the inner fender, was it the same as the 289 mount or will I need to find some at the local pick and pull tomorrow?

what car is this going into? the 87?
if so, i don't think they are, don't quote me on that, but i'm almost certain that they aren't....

i remember reading a thread at another forum about someone doing a 200 to 302 swap, and they kept getting told to go get the K-member...

Eureka!!
here's the thread, read up, hope it answered your question

8) to swap a V8 in you will need the V8 frame mounts as well as the V8 engine mounts. they are different from the six cyl mounts.

Yup, asa67_stang is correct.
The "K" member is the large crossmember that all the lower suspensen, steering, and motor mounts bolt to, the 200s motor mount is far forward compared to all the other motors mounted in fox based vehicles. The sad part is while the other K member improved over the years I doubt if the 200s changed at all. Easier for me to see as I have a 80 with a 200 and a 86 with the 2.3L.

Sorry
Well I hope I helped somebody cause I know very little bout the old stangs, cept I'dd like to own a fastback someday.

Not a problem, ran across a car show today and saw a bunch of mustangs that had 6 cylinder vins and 289/302s in them so I was able to look at those and get a good idea of what I needed. But I appreciate all the help.
