i just got a gt rear valance and installed it. i was wondering if you had any clearance issues getting the tips outta the rear valance. did the leaf spings get in the way because the drivers' side looks a little close. i just wanted to clear these things up before i went to the exhaust shop. thanks

There is plenty of room on the passengers side, but the drivers side was a bit tight around the shackle/gas tank.

I had to do a bit of "massaging" to the pipe with a ball pein hammer so it wouldnt hit the shackle bolt when it was vibrating at idle (Rough idle/big cam). No big deal though!

I put together a webpage about it,

Guess I need a pic of the tailpipes....didnt realize there wasnt one... :?

hey Doug,

After running both cliffy and the FSPP headers, what are your opinions. I've got a cliffy in the garage that's not been installed yet. Should I ditch it for the FSPP?

Hmmm.....

Not sure if you should ditch it or not....depends on what kind of shape its in??

I like the FSPP header better than the Cliffords because of 3 reasons!

1.) Flange area where it bolts onto the head is a lot smoother (less chance of a exhaust leak).
2.) I like the way they exit (side by side underneath floor board) like a traditional V 8 header. Makes it a lot easier to hook up the exhaust IMO.
3.) There seems to be a bit more room between the header flange bolts and the header pipes. Lot easier to tighten them.

Plus I wanted mine jet hot coated! :D :D
