This has been going on for some time and it is getting REAL old!
I am running a carter yf off a 170?, it has the 1.5 opening. When I start it cold, I pump it once or twice then hold the pedel down half and it starts on the first or second time......But when it is hot or warm it is much harder to start. Sometimes I give it no gas and it starts up right away, other times when I give it no gas, I get a puff of smoke under the hood and I may need to hold the pedal all the way down to get it to start. Car runs great otherwise.
timing is advanced 5degrees over stock
have played around with the choke, no diff
checked and found no vac leaks
using rubber fuel line to prevent vapor lock
Any suggestions would be great!
