Need help!! Which temp sending unit????

I got my 200ci head for the 1966 mustang back from the machine shop and installed everything. The machine shop removed the sending unit. I have ordered two from Oreiyles for my car and both were the wrong size and thread. one was a 3/8 and the other 1/4. I found a brass fitting that went in and it was 1/2 by 18.. Anyone know what sending unit works for the 200ci and where to get it?

That is the weird part.. This is the stock motor. It is definitely a 200ci head. When I picked up my first one at Orielly's, they sold me a BWD WT913 which is a •3/8 Inch x 18 MPT.... I went back and they order the other one listed for my car and it was a BWD WT907 which is •1/8" x 27 MPT. Neither one fits.. one is to big and the other is to small

I need help finding the right one..

Yes the did. I used a made brass 1/2" to 9/16" fitting, and had it drilled and tapped to suit the bigger Fox sensor to the smaller 1965 heads water temperature sensor hole. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=71215

A pot pouri of parts.

Pulling my hair out trying to find a temp sending unit with 1/2" thread. Motor is a 200ci.. not sure why it has a 1/2" thread as they all seem to be 3/8" or 1/8".. Trying to avoid using an adapter..

Go ahead. It cost me 4 dollars US to have the brass adapter from an engineering company used to mate to the old head. Now i use the 1981 Fox Mustang sensor which is able to emulate any pre 1985, post 1932 Ford temp sender unit.

Its in the top of the picture. and is the same thread as the brake booster port in the head pictured in the back ground.

Just do it!
