Need Help!

I have not started my 65 mustang for a while and when I tried today,There was smoke coming from the solenoid and the starter froze open.I was boosting it at the time,so I just removed the cables but even with the key out of the ignition,it kept trying to turn over.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'd get another solonid and try again. Then if it doesn't, report back.

Yep! Replace the solenoid! Hopefully the starter isn't dragging, causing the solenoid to burn up.
