Need some Cam help, What one to use?

Ok so I know nothing about cams or what one to use for my application.
I have a 1963 Ford Falcon Vert. It has a rebuilt 1966, 200 .30 over. it has a 1976 200 head cut .50 So if the machinest did his math right and the pistons he ordered it should be 9.1 comp. It has the stock 1 barrel carb and I will be going to the new Pony carb some time soon. And it has a C-4. And the stock exhaust manifold from the 1976 head. The head has been cleaned up with a light port and polish like the falcon book shows.

So its mostly all stock and its going to be a nice driver.
What Cam should I be using?
Also it has the stock 1976 valve train on the head still so I need to stay with a hydrolic cam.

I also have the Duraspark going in it.
And a new but stock tork converter.
Not sure of the rear gears but its still running 13" wheels.

For a nice daily driver, I'd be looking at something around 210@0.050"

I've never had anything to do with these 200 motors, but I run a 214@0.050 in my 2v 250, and it makes power from around 1800-4800, but its got a mild lope to it.

8) since this is a street engine you are building, pick a cam that is designed to work best in the 1000-4500 rpm range. www.classicinlines.com has a good selection of cams. if you have a hard time deciding between two cams on their list, pick the smaller of the two cams, you wont be sorry.

Mike at Classic Inlines has a set of tech articles that will help you with your cam selection. He has a nice chart (link below) that show the specs and expected attributes for the Clay Smith cams he sells. You can apply those attributes to a different brand if you choose.

I will do some digging and see what I can come up with.
Should be a nice improvement over the 195k mile 170 thats in it.
Might even be able to do the speed limit on the freeway now !!!!

i'd say grab the 260 dur with 112 degree lobe center from CI since its an automatic.

I'm running the 260H cam from Comp...It is a sleeper cam, has a decent idle and really wakes up after 2500rpm...I use it as a daily driver and one thing to remember is if you want to build a true sleeper and looking for good HP, mileage is not really a factor...I think I'm around 19-21 mpg, but I drive my truck hard...even cruising at 70mph, I can still mash on the pedal and still have more power on tap.
