its an old straight 6 in a 54 f100.truck started out as a 215 i think was the 6 for that year.motor has been swapped(truck been in family for 40 yrs) and it supplosely has an industrial engine.manifolds are on driver side and from pics it appears to be another 215.the casting numbers are EAA-6015-G.were trying to figure out what it is so we can get a distributor and try to fire it.

Google up www.geocities.com/edwins63/I6ID.html?200725. It will lead you to Edwins site with a lot of info about the I6. Pay attention to where the fuel pump mounts and how far back the dist is. Also note whether the valve cover has two or eight hold down bolts. Could be 215, 223, or 262, depending on location of the mentioned items. I'm not good with numbers so have to depend on visual identification.
