could some one give me some insight as to getting a new 2bbl carb to replace my damaged 1 bbl, some thing that will bolt on without to much hassle.

Offenhauser makes a single bbl 2 bolt to 2bbl 3 bolt adaptor, along with a bunch of other adaptors for various carb options.
Figure out what 2 bbl you want (ford 94/stromberg 97 for nostalgia?) and then get the adapter.
