Hi,

I installed the MSD 6 and the new Dura Spark 2 dizzy with an MSD blaster 2 coil this weekend. I was surprised how much it smoothed up the engine. I thought it was running pretty smooth with the points but I was wrong. It's better now than when I just had the pertronix unit in. Of course I didn't have the 45,000 volt coil or the MSD 6 then.

I'm still waiting on a pilot bearing to show up so I can install the T-5. I'm really looking forward to that upgrade.

I'm a little overwhelmed with the suspension parts. I think I'll do the sway bars, xport brace, monte carlo bar, and the shocks first. Then the rear springs with drop blocks and shelby traction bars. I'll finish up the suspension package with the front end and steering rebuild and then get an alignment done.

The dizzy swap was easy. I just followed the wiring instruction in the manual the hardest part was getting the boots on the Accel wires. I little WD-40 solved that. I had to sand the dizzy shaft down just a little it was about .005 to big to fit into the opening. Stab the dizzy, wire it up, set the timing and it's done.

I had a hard time routing the sparkplug wires they look like a bunch of spaghetti. I don't think I left my wires long enough.

I'll try to figure out how to post pic's tomorrow, my son needs the computer back so he can finish saving the world.

Like a birthday, by the sounds of it! All those cool new bits. Just keep the "while I'm at it" factor under control.

Glad to hear it went well. Best upgrade next to disc brakes that I ever did was my MSD-6A and Pertonix.
Runs better, huh?
