Looking for your help please. I'm interested in fitting a 3x1 carb adaptor to a 250 log motor for an old school style '40 Ford pick-up. I don't have a motor or adaptor yet and before I do I'm looking to pick your brains. I'm thinking some of the log manifolds are round on top and some are flat? Maybe? If so which are the Offy adaptors made for?
Cheers
Tony

Also: Do any of you have a 3x1 adaptor and maybe an alloy valve cover that they would be happy to sell me? I'm in Aussie and happy to deal with you all in the US.

hi retroboy, you are correct, there are round (hex) and flat tops. hex heads are 69 and earlier, flat tops are 70 and up. offy makes adapters for both, but the flat top is easier to find and the later heads flow better. 77 and later is the ideal because it has the largest valves and hardened seats.

not sure how hard it is to find offy intakes in australia, but you can see if offyparts.com will ship there, or look on Ebay. most sellers are hesitant to ship internationally, though.

if all else fails you can just copy me

I have the flat top version and three rebuilt carbs for sale. Send me a pm if your interested. Not sure how much shipping would be tho...
