I know that this seems like its been posted a thousand times , BUT, I changed the oil in my 1966 200 Mustang yesterday. The dipstick is over the mark by about a 1/2" inch above full. I placed 4-1/2 quarts of oil into the motor. I seen where specs say 4 quarts for the pan and a quart for the filter. How many quarts does it really hold. The dipstick is a little confusing. It reads like there is a quart too much with only 4-1/2 quarts installed after the motor has ran then set a while. Same reading.
