oil pump to block

This may sound like a really dumb question, but here goes:
Is there supposed to be a gasket where the oil pump bolts to the block on a 77 200 ? Have gone thru two rebuild gasket sets and there is no gasket with the three holes. Shop manual shows installation with no gasket.....onlu the one for the tube to the pump.

There is no gasket, go right ahead with assembly. The pickup tube gasket is important, though.

Thanks for easing 'my pain'. Now I know why there is no gasket in the kit....
The prime went well, but not run yet.
