Opinions on alky fuel system?

Hey guys, been a long time since I posted here, but its always informative reading here, thanks to all!! I'm looking for some opinions, ideas, comments, etc. on a fuel system I will need to put together. We are currently building a new engine for a pulling tractor. It is a cross flow 12 port head ( Oliver tractor) 400 cubic inch, looking to push it upward of 6000 rpms. We are allowed most any intake we want, must be NA, so we have been bouncing ideas on anything from a Predator to 6 single barrell carbs. What are some of your opinions on this? I will post some pics of the head, and other parts as we go along. Also, on a motor like this, what are some opinions on header exhaust verses running 6 bullhorn pipes?? I can give more specifics on engine if it helps too.

8) i would use a mechanical constant flow fuel injection system in your case. something along the line of a jackson injector.

as for the exhaust, i would use individual pipes for the header since you want a high rpm motor. it would also give you a tiny amount of downforce as erll from the exhaust pressure.

check out amazon.com for a book called high performance with fuel injection by vern thomlinson. it is quite informative.

We wanted to go with injection, but the rules at some pulls don't allow it. I have been looking at Predator carbs, they look like they might work out well actually.

What about Weber carbs? Either down draft or side draft. That's about the closest you can get to multiport fuel injection without the fuel injection.

8) fordman has a good idea. another way to go is to use the constant flow injection at the pulls where you are allowed, and at the other pulls, swap intakes to a dual 4bbl intake and use two holley alcohol carbs in the 600cfm range.
