Trying to squeeze some go out of a 65-66 6 cylinder coupe. Have an engine semi-planned (later 250, cam, compression, intake, 2 brl carb, headers, prolly 2 - 2.25 inch dual exhaust).
Other details... how much can the stock tranny and rear take? I figure they aren't the same C4s (and 3/4 speeds) and 8 inch rears that came with stock V8s, so they can't handle V8-esque power (which I am planning). If the rears aren't 8 inch, what are they, cause I would probably look to add a 3.23 - 3.55 ring and pinion at the least (did they come in posi at all?). I'm also assuming the same suspension mods that an 8 cylinder car would take, the 6 cylinder cars would take as well (add in the fact that the sixes are way lighter than the 8s and I would think these cars have some handling potential too).
