Parting Out 226

I've decided to go another direction with my truck and am parting out the 226. If you need any parts off the engine, let me know. I also have a 226 flywheel that's been freshly resurfaced. I may also consider selling the transmission. I'll be putting up a list of everything with general prices and pictures later tonight. Thanks

Kind of a shame. The flattie six is a great sounding motor and has retro cred IMO. Still, if it doesn't float your boat...

I love the flattie six. The problem with this project is money. Parts are getting real hard to come by and aren't cheap. For what it would cost to get a gasket set and bearings, I could drop a 302 in. I've got the mustang to keep my inline 6 street cred :) I really hate getting rid of the flathead, it just has to happen if I want to get this truck on the road cheaply and reliably.

Sorry this took forever, been studying for Statitics, Calc III, and Differential Equations tests  Here's some pics of what I have had time to strip and recoat. I don't really have any set prices, PM if you need anything and we'll work something out. If no one here needs this stuff it's all going up on ebay. More to come soon. Thanks

I still have some stuff left, I'll go out in my garage and try to make a list of everything I still have and post it up.

Sorry it's taken so long to update. Here's a short list of 226 parts I have left, a lot of the engine stuff has already been sold, but I still have a good bit of 49 F-1 specific parts also if anyone is interested.

-Timing Gear Cover
-Set of Valve Covers
-Fuel Pump
-Resurfaced flywheel with used clutch and pressure plate
-226 Engine block, bored .060

This is what I can think of off the top of my head. I haven't had a chance to go through everything I have left in my garage. I'll try to look for more.

I know for sure I don't have anymore of those, they've been sold. There sure is a great demand for those things.
