Performance parts?

I have over the last few years run across a few used performance items for the 223s. I have also seen what is on Mummert's site (no pistons). Is anything still produced out there for these engines? BTW the 223 I have is the solid lifter truck engine. I have also wondered that seeings as the inake and exaust manifolds are similar in construction (cast "pipes" basically). Would it be possible to build an intake manifold in in much the same fashion as fabricating a set of headers? You would tend think that keeping the intake mixture cool would work better with this setup than a cast piece anyway.

Greg, some of the chevy guys sre doing that same thing.Check on the BB over at Inliners.org , there are some pics of fabricated intakes.There are shops that sell material for you to make your own.Utilizing aluminum carb spacers you could set up any type of carb setup that you wanted.The other thing is you could also do an EFI intake aswell.There seems to be alot of the older sixes coiming out of the woodwork lately,we've had several inquiries for parts for them.
