pertronix ignition

O.k. so maybe i expect quick responses to questions and aren't being reasonable.Looking into the elec. ignition idea has me in a quandry. How do you install the pertronix system,with pos. to the ignition or the + side of the coil. and what about the vacuum advance needing to work properly?how do I know if it's working right?
