Power Brake vacuum

Hi all,
Right now I have the power brake booster vacuum coming from a t-connection on the PCV line. This can't possibly be right, can it? I was told to do this early on when I put my SSBC kit on. I don't see where I have a spot on the manifold to terminate the vacuum line from the brake booster. Any ideas?

tia,

The Brake Booster Vacuum should come from a different connection , you may have to drill and tap , you can do it with 1/8 Pipe tap , put grease on the flutes to catch any pieces of metal , , a shop vac down the carb mounting hole will help as well

Here is my vacuum source at the intake manifold. Others have told me that it is stock. it's a 66; I don't know. It is a brass plug with three vacuum ports, two smaller one larger. I think the larger one is for the power brakes. The one off the front is the automatic transmission modulator.

I definitely didn't have that on my manifold.

I did solve the problem, though. Turns out the fitting for the automatic transmission modulator line in to the manifold is a 1/4 threaded pipe fitting. I went to Lowes, got a brass 1/4 "T" fitting, a threaded nipple to screw the "T" into the manifold and 2 barb fittings for either side of the "T". I used hi-temp RTF on the threads. I ran 3/8 tubing from the power brake booster to one side of the "T" into the 3/8 barb fitting and vacuum tubing from the transmission modulator line in the 1/4 barb fitting on the other side of the "T". Worked like a champ. It even looks like it should be there.

I ran mine off the transmission line. The end of the metal line reduced to the small transmission size, I cut that end off and put a plastic T there that splits off to the transmission, distributor, and booster. Has been running good for 3 years that way.
