Probe Turbo 2.2L

I have been searching some posts on here about the probe 2.2 turbo setup and I think its what i want a low spooling turbo with integral wastegate and hopefully 130rwhp is that possible or do i need a larger one. This t3 is an upgrade for a probe would it basically give me the same boost and power or is it a cheap knock off.also what mods are necessary for a blow thru carb besides the ntro float and removal of the choke are they difficult if there are any at all.

Way too small for a 300 IMO. It's pretty small for a 200, so it would really choke a 300. We're talking boost right off idle, and probably choking at 2500 rpm. It might overspeed the turbo, too, and that's not good. I'd suggest something a bit bigger. This is also Chinese junk.

i am using a 200 in a mustang so i'm looking at the same setup tommy was running but since this is chinese junk i'll be looking for a probe setup.

Oops, sorry. I thought you had posted about a 300 in the past. Anyhow, Tommy's setup seemed to work pretty well, so have fun with it. I'd go for a real Garrett, AiResearch, Turbonetics, or Master Power.

Alternatively, a Holset HX35 or HY35 would be a great match. They are sometimes used on Hondas, so they aren't too big. They are bigger than the stock Probe turbos, however. They came on Dodge trucks for years and are pretty common.
