My head gasket was seeping a little, so I decided to upgrade to an E0 head, from my readings here. I will be using a felpro gasket. From what I have read here and in the sticky, there is .025 difference between the shim gasket and the felpro. OK, my engine is supposed to be 8.3:1 compression(being a 72). A comp test revealed 150 in 5 cylinders and 145 in 1 cylinder, A very even engine(53,000 miles). I would like to get this to around 8.75:1-9.25:1, or whatever I can get away with on 93 with a safety margin. How much extra should be milled to achieve this? Other plans are a 3 angle valve job and a port divider. Am I missing anything.
While the head is off would be the perfect time to swap cams also. I was looking at the comp cams 260. I have a C-4 and a 3.55 gear, and I would guess total weight with me at about 2700-2800 lbs? This cam has probably been around awhile. Is it outdated or does it work as good as anything else out there? Any other advice is appreciated. Peyton in SE Ohio
