Here's what I wrote a few weeks ago in Mustang Monthly in the FSP forum. Now can ya see what I was on about? Do the same thing, but slant it in the opposite dirction.
Why should Mopars Have All The Fun?
Hey fellow Americans! Can't ya see the solution? Form a consortium of MM readers reacting against the shoping basket status of your in-liners! Grab a bunch of mates and Do This:-
Take that 200 cube in-liner, lay the engine over btween 30 to 45 degrees towards the drivers side, and angle mill the integral head to fit a flat adaptor plate. America is the home of GMC 2-strokes, so grab a 4/71, V6/71 or even 6/71 blower off one of them. Then build a custom sump with a pickup that works and do a mirror image copy the slant six 225 Chrysler engine mounts. Slap a 3/8" steel adpator on the back of your C4 trans to shift the trans back to where it should be...to keep it on the level! Grab some Pinto 2000 rods if your worried about how the stock rods will handle a Big Rev. Throw inGrab some forged KB 305 pistons with 1.43" decked down 90 thou to fit the shallow 200 block, and bush to suit the bigger 2000 SOHC pin. Starter motor can sit where-ever. Any headers should fit...even the Aussie import Packmarkers...they aint gonna hit the ground. Shove a blower drive on it, a couple of Holley 500 cfm carbys, and go stalking V8's. Most good super chargers add 65% to a modified engines power rating anyway. A 200 with the right induction and cam before boosting can swing 180 horses with a non- single barrel carb. Imagine three-hundred stampeeding equine devices trying to get loose from a 1966 'Stang. Go stalkin GT 350 V8's!
