Rebuilding 200ci / C4

Hello,
To make a long story short I was side swiped in my 2007 Ford Mustang GT and it has been totaled. I can not afford a "new" car so I am taking the insurance money and investing in making my 1966 Ford Mustang I6 daily driving worthy.

To do this I feel I should rebuild the engine (200ci) and transmission (C4). Along, with upgrading the brakes. My questions:

- Where can I get a engine rebuild kit for the 200ci?

- Where can I get a transmission rebuilt kit for the C4?

Thank you all for your help!
Nick

side note: if i'm posting this in the wrong forum let me know so I can move it.

Nick, I think the best thing to do would be to tear down the engine & see if the block has been bored & the crankshaft turned.
Mike @ classicinlines can supply you with all engine parts such as sealed power pistons, plasma-moly rings & bearings.
For street use his line of camshafts are excellent.
The second question I would ask you, do you want a stock type engine or do you want to get closer to V-8 power????
I would sublet the trans to a local transmission shop for overhaul.
Then get the engine to your local machine shop for boring & crankshaft grinding. Bill

I believe the engine is all original and has never been touched. Although, I will check!

I do not plan on modifying the engine until everything else is done. At this point I just want to be able to drive my 66 on the daily and figured that to help improve reliability a rebuild would be a good plan.

My mechanic (a close family friend) will do the motor and he does have a transmission guy.
