After finally getting my car back from Al...I must say I like my new cam. It sounds awesome. It is kind of hard to pin performance down to it as I did the T5 install at the same time (review for that coming later).

But I never realized how a cam can change the sound of the engine. It lopes a little bit, but not too much. It kind of sounds like a small V-8 loping around. The breathing of the engine was definitely improved.

I'm very happy with the new cam.

Have it put on a dynojet and get the true HP to the rear wheels, this really is the only way to tell if your getting more HP. It is also the best way to make sure it's not running too lean or rich and will allow you to adjust timing for best HP output!

It certainly didn't sound like an I6 to me that's for sure.

Mine doesn't either - with dual outlet headers, and thrush turbos it sounds like a rumbly bent 8 at idle. 8)

Slade what intake issues are you fighting. If it is vacuum leaks shoot me a E-mail and I will go over what I did to stop them.

Remember though, I still have my stock exhaust system with just a y pipe after a turbo muffler to make it look like a dual (stupid PO job that I haven't corrected yet).

Al, You should hear it now that I got it tuned up right.

I'm still having issues with the Offy set up. Not so much vacuum, just some linkage problems now. I'm currently only running 1 carb, the outer carb bases are blocked off.

Great! What did you end up doing? Have you figured out the alternator light issue yet?

Al,

Timing was off. I suspect a tooth off.

Alt light is still on. I'm going to test the alternator today when I get home. I'm also going to place the Pony carb back on the center.
