Rod bolts and head bolts

If I understand right, 289 rod bolts are the same as 200/170 and 289/302 main bolts/studs will work as head bolts.

Is this correct?

At what power/RPM level are upgrades recommended.

Right now the head is off, and the pan. I guess now is the time to swap if I'm going to do it. Pretty much stock with a HW 5200 and DSII. Argy exhaust manifold. There's a pretty good chance I'll put in a better cam.

I have 2 broken 302's with main studs in them, also can come up with 12 289/302 rod bolts. Just have to pull them apart. 1 split in the oil galley, the other had a crack in one of the cylinder walls (no more 302's on stock blocks for me)
