Well, Rich and I inspected the 200 block that had the rotation problem previously posted. The crank would only rotate about 210 degrees before stopping. I tore down the engine to the short block and discovered that the rod caps are hitting the side of the block on numbers 1 and 6. We are suspecting that someone tore down this engine for minor repair and may have used wrong parts.
I need some info first on rod lengths for:
144
170
200
Lastly, I am assuming the crank for the 144, 170 and 200 have different throws so those that can confirm this, please so state.
These are the only 2 possiblities left. I will remove numbers 1 and 6 pistons and rods and check the lengths before going full guns and remove the crank.
