Running but rough

Hi

have the car running but the idle is high and rough.It will stay running and the timing looks pretty good.What else should I look for?The carb is a 5200 and bought it used so ireally do not know what kinda shape its in.

when i bolted that carb on my car it ran pretty good, vac leak somewhere i suspect. i will try and find my old posts on this carb that shows where vac goes. and maybe jog my memory abit

Sounds like and idle circuit problem. For starters, check for vacuum for leaks by spraying carb cleaner all around each mating surface and every orifice/gap, such as around the throttle shafts. Next, try unscrewing the idle jets(s) on the side(s), and blowing carb cleaner through them and the orifices (engine off).
