Question...

I'm hoping to install a new camshaft within the next couple of weeks and I wanted some facts before I make my purchase.

My goal with this new cam is to increase my torque not necessarily the horsepower. I say this because I want to be able to accelerate much quicker but I'm not too concerned about my top end. Quick take offs is my goal.

Am I right in saying more torque is my aim? And if so, could I have my stock samshaft reground for more lift? Or would it be cheaper just to order an aftermarket camshaft?

I'm still using stock rockers.

P.S. MustangSix, looks like I still have a lot more questions than I originally thought possible. May need to keep my account active after all.

Chris, you need a short duration camshaft with the intake duration @ .050 below 200 degrees. william
