I replaced my busted cylinder head (C9) with a later model D3. Everything was going fine until I went to put the thing that goes under the carburetor on the intake, and it didn't fit. It seems the bolt spacing on the C9 is somewhere around 7 3/4 and it is around 9 1/2 on the D3 (working from memory here).
I'll go back through my Ford Falcon Six Cylinder book (what a great investment) but does someone know what the solution is?
A second question. I gave the motor a good spin up with the starter with the plugs out hoping to see some oil flow around the valve train. Should I see some oil or will I have to wait for motor start?
Thanks
