Here is another update, well I have to get a new battery for sure now, I tried charging my battery but it just won't hold enough juice to activitae the solenoid to engage the starter. I dropped an extra battery I had in the garage and charged it it will kick everything over but it doesn't fit in the battery tray. It will suffice just to start it until I get a few extra bucks to buy a new battery. I got the dizzy pulled out and I just have crank the engine back over to TDC and then drop the dizzy back in, I think when I dropped it in I didn't account enough for how much the cam gear moved from the position that initially had it in when I put it in. I just wish I had taken a lighter class load this semester so I would have more time to work on it. Keep ur fingers crossed for me guys!! :wrench:

If all your looking at when installing the distributor is aligning the crankshaft pulley up with TDC, you have a 50/50 chance of putting in the distributor 180 degrees off which will cause backfiring. You have to know if the #1 cylinder just finished the compression stroke or the exhaust stroke.

Looks great, and good luck with your start!

Just out of curiosity, it looks like you have the clifford adapter: what did you use for the pcv valve hook up? My clifford just came with a threaded hole and I'm not sure what to put there.

Also, is that a fuel filter in your fuel line bolted to the pass. inner fender?

best,

I found a male air hose fitting that had the same threads as the clifford adapter and I hooked up my PCV hose to that. Should work hopefully. As for the part on the fender that is a fuel pressure regulator that came with my Weber 38/38. from what I understand u are supposed to use those with Weber carbs, so I tried to mount it as best I could.

Thanks for all the compliments, I will keep u all posted when I get it started and how it runs.

Get rid of the fuel regulator. That's used with electric fuel pumps. You don't need it with the mechanical.
