I think it has been talked about. I currently have a log I opened up for a direct mount and have been thinking of welding a divider into it. I think it might hurt things as the plenum volume on the log is not that great and by keeping it whole it helps it out (talking out of my ass here)
for the work involved I would say better off with a alloy head from mike.
I have thought of the same thing. PLenum volum would be cut in 1/2 but so would the size of engine it supports. I wonder if mounting 2 1bbl or 2 hw with a split manifiold would give better fuel distribution over a single manifold setup the same way. I have also wondered about splitting the manifold but placing the 2 carbs as close to the split as possible. The advantage here over a singe monifold is that the air is always traveling the same direction when it exits the carb instead of constantly switching from left to right. You coul dpossible mount a large 2 bbl and split the manifold beneath it. Any way, just thoughts. Any comments welcome.
