Stock clutch= ?HP

Got 2 questions.

How much will a brand new stock clutch like say 200+HP from a 2V?
3 speed Borgy in a TC wagon, new everything except the pedal?

Second will a new stock fuel pump be good enough for a 500 holley on the 2V, 50cc pump, ported, valves, flat tops,9.5 or so CR??

Thanks Steve

She'll be right, mate!

(Cortinas are about 500 pounds lighter than a Falcon six. If the stock clutch is designed for a 3600 pound XA Station wagon, then it should be find on a 2500 pound Cortina. I guessing, but the fuel pump should flow 250 hp becasue the factory desire an oversupply of about 50%, and it's basically a Clevleand pump anyway. That's why I say No worries at all).

Burn, burn burn,
burn your wicked garden down...

Hehe but i don't have a garden, its more like a backyard cricket pitch

Cheers X ill still let you know when it packs in
Now i can move onto other important stuff like the lack of hole in my firewall for the clutch cable.

Steve, are you putting a cable clutch back in? Have you thought of going hydraulic?

Yeah i considered it, but im young so i don't need it just yet. Just more money i need to find before i can drive the thing
Time for retainers and arp bolts now

Sounds like some nice stuff you are putting into that motor. I'm looking forward to seeing specs\horsepower numbers. I'll have to give you a drag down at A.I.R. sometime(by the sound of things I'll get caned but oh well its in good fun). By the way what did you mean about being young and not needing a hydraulic clutch?

Um, in Australian English, a wedding in late Jan is the gaol. Been in gaol for 15 years, and haven't minded it a bit....

Ah, that delightfull smell of burnt clutch when taking it to the limit.

I must have gotten off the track somewhere...

Well back to the topic i was trying to get an estimate HP figure on how much my new stock clutch will love me.
But i rekon its more fun if we take stabs at when? RPM and time anyone? :D

Im going to use a brand new stock fuel pump as they don't make high volume engine pumps for us blue oval guys. Comps going to be 9.8 with the 500 Holley. On 98 PULP of course
Still need retainers and lifters. Steve

i think the clutch depends on how you drive i did approx 10000k's and used two heay duty clutchs i like loading it up i guess flat shift in to 2 and 3 and 4 with clutch slip. now i have a custom button clutch it spins through the gears and destroyed the diff i now need lsd

Sounds like my wallet is going to be busy next year, thanks for the insight

About the fuel pump, cant you use a carter rotary fuel pump off an XD-XF? I'm imagining they flow more although I'm not sure. At least theyre a newer design.
