I just slapped on my new -used 1100 and when I fired it up, it was rev ing so high I shut it down

I cant get the choke unstuck...I think the linkage or spring is worn..

does anyone have any close up pix of an 1100 from the drivers side looking at the choke housing?

is this the kind of choke I can convert to an electric choke?

Surely with the motor off, you could manipulate the throttle linkage and then the choke butterfly and cam? Wire it open using a couple of paperclips twisted together with pliers.

Quite possibly if it's a hot-air choke, the spring has been frozen by exhaust gases from a perforated stove pipe.

Pics would help. Is a camera on Santa's list?

i have a camera...but the lcd screen is broken. still works but its a pain. Let me see if I can take a pix here at work

I really wanna use this carb because when it was on, even though it was stuck on high...it sounded smooth
