A Anonymous Guest Aug 27, 2005 #4 simple rule of thumb..... look at the vac advance can - go in the direction it points to advance, away from the direction it points to retard. also, when figuring rotation of any dist on any engine, the rotor always turns opposite the direction the vac advance can points.
