Tachometer works!!! Woohoo! (I can splice wires too!)

I would like to thank everyone for their help with my tachometer installation. The only wire I have to hook up yet is the light wire. I had to splice into the ignition wire which was scary because I had never attempted that before. No sparks and no smoke so I guess it is fine. I had to do this because I could not fit three ring terminals on the positive side of the Pertronix coil (Pertronix electronic igniton wire, ignition switch wire, and tach wire). The tach source wire (green) went to the negative side of the coil. I hooked up the tach ground (black) to the shock tower (securing it with those plastic things that hold wires and fasten to a hole in the shock tower. Sorry, I cannot explain it much better  ).

Thanks again! :D

woohoo!!!
what's the hold up on the lights though? how is the car running, have figured out what was going on with the carburator?

The light is on! I needed some food before I tackled the light wire. It was not as hard as expected though. :)

My ex's dad is coming over tonight to help tune the carb. A test drive in my driveway told me that it is still stumbling upon acceleration and if I give it too much gas it stalls. :?:

The timing is good and it advances when accelerating (at least when in "Park").

get pictures up!!!!

this is where mine ended up about a year ago, and i've been very pleased with it

cool deal! So where'd you end up mounting the tach?

Exactly where Nathan mounted his. I taped a strip of flat rubber around the seering wheel column so the hose clamp would not scratch it up. I painted the hose clamp black to match the steering column.

Soon I will post pics of the tach, bench seat, and the new exhaust tips. I have to finish the roll of film first.
