Thin Mechanical Fan Choices?

I've been running an electric fan for a few years now, but have had overheating problems lately when the outside temp is over 85°. I bought a mechanical fan to double my fan power only to find it's too thick to fit back on the engine when combined with my aluminum radiator.
Any alternative mechanical fans in the aftermarket that are thinner?

As for the rest of my cooling components, they all seem perfect. My suspicion is maybe my 16" "pusher" fan, a/c condenser and aluminum radiator is too far from one another to direct efficient cooling combined with no shroud whatsoever.

Can you use a fan designed for a clutch? This would allow you to set the fan back farther on the pulley. It would require a custom pulley.
This will only work if the bottom pulley will allow the fan to move back.

I have also been thinking about a custom radiator in front of the core support. However, it probably won't work with AC.

No room for a clutch. My pulley sits maybe only an inch away from the radiator.

My tractor has a super thin aluminum one that bolts right to the water pump (no spacer) I'll try and get a picture of it when I get home. Should work for you in your space constrained area.

I was talking about useing a fan with a larger hole and setting it back on the pulley. Just adding a little more offset than you were hunting.
This would help, if the lower pulley allowed it.

A flex fan works on mine, without a spacer. I have about an inch clearance between pulley and radiator. It's loud as hell though.

Hopefully you can see how thin that fan is. I have no idea where Dad found it but I assume that it is a 'normal' aftermarket flex fan. I have no idea how loud it actually is compared to a standard fan.. it's on a tractor who cares!
