Hello all, I haven't been on in a while (seems like I have NO time anymore - even for mustangs, and that's when you know you REALLY have no time!)
I am considering selling my "GT200".... most of you all have seen her on here before, the fact is, it's about time to get cold again and I have only driven her maybe twice all summer long, and I never have time to tinker/upgrade more on her anymore. Anyway, enough of the sob story...
Just wondering: (1) What does everyone think she's worth (honestly), and (2) Is there anyone on here, first, who is interested in her?

Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate it (pray for my mental health thru all this!)
check out my pages at:

www.geocities.com/levidodd7/65stang

from that main page there are links (at the bottom of the page) to my engine buildup page, my tech page, my pics page, etc.
If you try to see the page and it says it is unavailable (data transfer) just try back - it has a tendency sometimes to shut down when too many people look at it all at once.

Email me, write back here, or send me a PM if anyone has any questions.

This is just all the stuff I can think of off the top of my head, there may be more on my website, or more I have forgot on both....

Quite possibly... I had it on there, had a guy from Atlanta contact me to buy it (fast01gt, or something like that), agreed to purchase it for $6,000 had me line up the shipping and everything, and then kept putting it off saying he was waiting on insurance money and as soon as he got it he would pay me, but the insurance company was dragging feet, etc. etc. etc. Finally, after about a month, I gave up... he Never paid.

I tried bidding on a couple of cars on ebay, but I kept getting outbid by guys with zero feedback, name changes, and even negative feedback. I suspect cars sales get surfed by kids and deadbeats.

I think that anyone selling a car should just outright reject a zero feedback bidder unless they are willing to send a deposit on the spot.

You may have been outbid by someone trying to jack up the prices. That's getting common these days, multiple accounts.

I reported an incident where I believed the seller had used a shill to bid up the price. The seller contacted me a day after closing saying the buyer had backed out due to shipping costs.

As expected nothing happened, there was no negative feedback given to the shill's name- and the seller was offereing to sel at my maximum bid, not the bid listed when the shill entered the picture.

This kind of stuff hurts e-bay, I was surprised ny the lukewarm reaction i got.

I know, the thing is, is that ebay has all of these rules and regulations against shill bidders, fraud, etc. but they have no real way to enforce them. I have had many similar instances where I have reported them (like the guy on my car) with NOTHING ever happening - and the sad thing is is that this guy had good positive feedback!
Oh, well. What can you do (gripe about it on the FordSix sight I guess!)

That's one of the reasons I put it up on here to get people opinions, I would rather get a Lot less on here from somebody who really wanted it, would take care of it, keep fixing it up, LOVE it, and where I would GET the money for it!!

I know where you're coming from.

It's more a custodial thing you feel about the car, rather than asset ownership. When you look at concert grade musical instruments, a lot have changed hands for less than market value, or are simply "on loan", so the player can enjoy and demonstrate the quality of its output. The ones that change hands for millions at Sothebys, usually need hours of "playing in" before they have much character.

It's a shame when the money-grubbers degrade simple pleasure. Hope you can line up a satisfactory arrangement.

Regards, Adam.

EXACTLY! Very well spoken, and thank you, I hope so to. If anyone on here is interested in purchasing the car, please let me know, and just make me an offer (I will seriously look at it, don't worry, you wont hurt my feelings.... !)
