Triple carb fuel line setup

Ok I have searched the forum but haven't been able to find it.

I am putting an Offy manifold onto my 221 and was wanting to know which would be the best way to run the fuel lines.

Do I use a distribution block near the firewall to distribute the fuel to the carbies.

Or do a I run 1 fuel line next to the carbs and T them into the main line.

The outer carbies will only oopen at aroun 1/2 to 3/4 throttle.

Also will the standard fuel pump be able to deliver enough fuel or will I have to go to an electric pump?

have alook at this link :

and then specifically the pages 'making the falcon fly ' 1 and 2

good pics of the offy setup
the fuel line is tee'd into each carb.

but guess a splitter at the firewall would work- as then you have 3 separate lines to each carb.

as to wether a std pump is up to it - I would think so as they do 250 ci 2v heads (from the factory) - so would have thought the fuel flow would be similiar to a 221 with 3 x carbs.

but you dont say wether your engine is mild to wild....

but may be best to put a fuel pressure guage on and regulator and then monitor it for adequate pressure.

ps : are you in Aust? if so where did you get the offy manifold from?

Engine has extractors which are split at secondaries and run dual 2.5 inch exhaust.

Head is mild port, just cleaned up, 302 valve springs. Cam is a Tighe 594 spec

Comp will be around 9 - 9.5:1, only picked up other engine to rebuild on weekend.

I purchased the offy manifold from ebay motors from usa. Keep an eye out in fleebay section on this forum, that's how I found out it was listed, came with carbies as well.

hi - saw that you were in syd - after i posted the reply!

i just looked up the cam specs (274 deg)- is your car a manual ?

i have a 200 that i have a tighe 300 AT cam ( 260 degrees) on a 3 speed auto to put in - will go for the log head and either a holley 350 or a webber 32/36 on adapter.

later on may mess around with a 2v head and see what happens with that

Thanks for the links Brett,

no the car is auto, borg warner 35. I spoke to Tighe and they told me the cam would be OK with a standard stall but a 1500 rpm stall would make it very nice. I saw your cam specs but after speaking to Tighe they recommended this one so I will go with it and see what happens

Mine is in an XP as well, had just the 221 with extractors and exhaust before and it went very well, so I am hoping for an even more fun ride now.

I will be entering a few nostalgia drags with it so we shall see how it performs
