Have decided to explore going turbo on the '66 'stang. So, now I need to educate myself a bit.

What turbo books would you guys suggest. I know I have some recommendations in other threads but can't find them now.

Thanks.

I have never read the corky bell book. I have had the Hugh McInnnes book for about 15 years now.

Most of the knowledge I have came from the guys who know on turbomustangs.com

Thanks SR, those are the books i had seen recommended on other threads.

Linc, thanks for the link. :D

I have both books, excellent. Each has its finer points. Hugh's book is far better for the actually turbocharger aspect. More diagrams, formulas and details, but its getting very outdated. The standard turbo today is a Garrett T series... turbos designed in the 60's modern GT turbos have sooo much more going technologically. Corkey's book gets into the finer points of building a great turbo setup. The section on intercoolers and airflow is especially good. Neither cover oiling very well unfortunately.

It was getting outdated when I bought it 15 years ago. .... although I haven't seen any current editions.

Rajay no longer exists. The book focuses heavily on them.

Plain 'ol TO4B are so plentiful and commonly used they need attention in any turbo book.

With internet resources available (compressor maps and such) I haven't opened the book up in ages.
